Role Description Skybound Digital is seeking a talented WordPress Designer & Developer (1–3 years of experience) for a full-time, on-site position located in the Kolkata metropolitan area. As a WordPress Designer & Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing WordPress-based websites, customizing themes, and integrating plugins. Your role will also involve ensuring responsive design, troubleshooting, updating sites, and optimizing for performance and SEO best practices, along with collaborating across teams to deliver client-centric solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop responsive WordPress websites that are visually attractive and user-friendly - Customize WordPress themes and plugins based on project requirements - Convert UI/UX designs (Figma, PSD, etc.) into fully functional WordPress websites - Ensure website performance, speed optimization, and SEO best practices - Troubleshoot website issues and provide ongoing maintenance and updates - Collaborate with marketing and content teams to implement website content effectively - Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness - Maintain website security and implement necessary updates regularly Required Skills & Qualifications: - 1–3 years of experience in WordPress design and development - Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP - Experience with popular page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg - Understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first approach - Basic knowledge of SEO best practices - Familiarity with website speed optimization tools and techniques - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with custom theme development - Knowledge of WooCommerce setup and customization - Familiarity with version control tools like Git - Basic understanding of hosting environments and domain management Applicants seeking work-from-home opportunities are requested not to apply.
