Senior Mobile Engineer – iOS (Swift) Location: Remote (Anywhere in India)The RoleAs an iOS Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of our native Swift applications. You will design intuitive interfaces that work under pressure and implement backend integrations that prioritize security and chain-of-custody. This role requires a developer who views mobile security as a core feature, not an afterthought.Core ResponsibilitiesEngineering Excellence: Develop, test, and maintain high-performance native iOS applications in Swift, ensuring seamless deployment to the Apple App Store.Secure Integration: Architect secure connections to backend APIs using OAuth2/JWT flows and encrypted protocols to ensure data remains untampered.Resilient Data Handling: Design and optimize complex file upload flows for large evidence files (forensic videos, high-res images) with graceful handling of network interruptions.Security & Compliance: Implement local encryption, secure keychain usage, and protection against reverse engineering. Ensure all code aligns with OWASP, CJIS, and SOC2 standards.Performance Optimization: Profile and optimize for low-latency operations, efficient battery usage, and robust offline-first behavior.Collaborative Development: Work closely with UX, Backend, and QA teams to define API contracts and refine user journeys that meet the unique needs of law enforcement.Technical PillarsSecurity Stewardship: You will own the security lifecycle of the app—from threat modeling features to implementing SSL pinning and App Attest.Code Integrity: Write modular, testable, and highly maintainable Swift code. You take pride in participating in deep-dive code reviews.Operational Ownership: You take responsibility for the entire module lifecycle, from initial architectural design to deployment and post-launch monitoring.QualificationsMust Have:4+ years of professional iOS development experience with a proven track record of Swift-based apps currently in the App Store.Deep expertise in iOS Frameworks: UIKit/SwiftUI, Foundation, CoreData/SQLite, and the Security framework.Networking Mastery: Expert-level understanding of RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming, and secure authentication (SSL/TLS).DevOps Literacy: Experience with mobile CI/CD pipelines, app provisioning, and the App Store Connect ecosystem.Problem-Solving DNA: A high degree of autonomy and the ability to debug complex, performance-related issues on real-world devices.Nice to Have:Experience with SwiftUI and reactive patterns (Combine or RxSwift).Familiarity with GraphQL or modern API paradigms.Background in regulated industries (FinTech, HealthTech, or GovTech) and exposure to compliance frameworks like HIPAA or CJIS.Advanced knowledge of resumable upload patterns and offline synchronization.
