The institute focuses on bridging the gap between academic learning and industry expectations through practical exposure, corporate-driven pedagogy, and skill-based education.Role ObjectiveThe HOD – HR (Professor of Practice) will lead the HR academic domain, ensuring high-quality teaching, curriculum delivery, faculty development, and student outcomes for MBA and PGDM programs. The role combines academic leadership with industry integration, driving excellence in teaching, mentoring, and departmental coordination.Key Responsibilities1. Academic Delivery & Teaching ExcellenceDeliver industry-oriented classroom sessions using experiential learning (case studies, simulations, role plays, live projects).Teach core HR subjects such as HRM, PMS, L&D, Talent Management, OD, HR Analytics.Ensure effective course delivery aligned with learning outcomes and competencies.Maintain high standards of student engagement, feedback scores, and academic rigor.2. Department Leadership & Academic CoordinationLead and manage the HR Department for MBA & PGDM programs.Plan and monitor academic calendars, timetables, subject allocation, and course completion.Ensure uniform delivery standards across faculty members.Coordinate with Program Directors, Academic Team, and Examination Department for smooth execution.3. Curriculum Development & Academic GovernanceDesign and update HR curriculum aligned with industry trends and top B-Schools.Integrate practical learning modules, certifications, and skill-based training.Contribute to NAAC/NBA accreditation, audits, and academic compliance.Develop evaluation frameworks, rubrics, and continuous assessment strategies.4. Faculty Development & Team ManagementMentor and guide faculty members for teaching effectiveness and subject expertise.Conduct Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), training sessions, and pedagogy workshops.Monitor faculty performance, course delivery, and research contributions.Build a high-performance academic team aligned with institutional goals.5. Student Mentorship & Outcome ManagementMentor students for domain selection, internships (SIP), live projects, and final placements.Drive career readiness, employability skills, and industry alignment.Track and improve student academic performance and placement outcomes.Ensure strong student engagement and satisfaction levels.6. Industry Engagement & Corporate InterfaceLeverage industry experience to bring real-world insights into classrooms.Facilitate guest lectures, workshops, corporate sessions, and certification programs.Support placement team with HR domain-specific company connections and opportunities.Build industry partnerships for internships, projects, and knowledge sharing.7. Research, Thought Leadership & Knowledge CreationEncourage and contribute to research papers, case writing, and publications.Promote applied research with students and faculty collaboration.Represent the institute in conferences, seminars, FDPs, and academic forums.8.
