It also holds multiple prestigious partnerships and was certified as a Great Place to Work® in 2025, highlighting its innovation-driven, people-first culture.About the Role: The Head of Legal & Compliance will be responsible for building, leading, and managing the organization’s legal strategy, regulatory compliance framework, and risk management practices. This role will ensure that all business operations, contracts, and policies align with applicable laws and industry standards, particularly in IT training, cloud services, and global partnerships.Key Responsibilities: Legal Strategy & AdvisoryAct as the primary legal advisor to leadership on business decisions, contracts, and expansion strategiesProvide guidance on corporate, commercial, employment, and technology lawsSupport strategic initiatives such as partnerships, global expansion, and new business modelsContract ManagementDraft, review, and negotiate contracts including:Client agreements (training, consulting, enterprise deals)Vendor and partner agreementsNDAs, MoUs, and licensing contractsEnsure standardization of contract templates and reduce legal risk exposureCompliance & GovernanceEstablish and manage a comprehensive compliance frameworkEnsure adherence to:Corporate laws (Companies Act, etc.)IT & data protection regulations (including global standards where applicable)Labor and employment lawsDrive internal audits and compliance reviewsResponsible for locational compliance check at Bangladesh and US Level.Risk ManagementIdentify legal and regulatory risks across business operationsDevelop mitigation strategies and ensure implementationHandle dispute resolution, litigation, and legal noticesPolicy DevelopmentDesign and implement internal policies:Code of conductData privacy and securityAnti-bribery and ethics policiesConduct awareness sessions for employees and leadershipStakeholder ManagementLiaise with external legal counsel, regulators, and government bodiesCollaborate with internal teams: HR, Finance, Sales, and OperationsStrong expertise in contract law, corporate law, and regulatory complianceKnowledge of data protection laws (e.g., GDPR exposure is a plus)Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, scaling environmentStrong business acumen with a risk-aware mindsetRequirements (Must-Have):LLB / LLM from a recognized institutionCompany Secretary (CS) qualification10+ years of experience in legal and compliance rolesExperience in IT services, SaaS, EdTech, or training industry is highly preferredGood to Have (Nice-to-Have):Experience working in a high-growth startup or mid-sized tech organizationExposure to global clients and cross-border legal frameworksPrior experience setting up legal/compliance functions from scratchHaving some / working experience in Bangladesh / USA, would be an added advantage.What We Offer:Opportunity to build the legal function and be a part of the ONLY company in the world to be recognized by Microsoft, AWS, and Google Cloud with prestigious awards in 2025.Competitive salary and performance bonuses.Learning & development opportunities.Collaborative and diverse team environment.Exposure to global markets and enterprise clientsStrategic role with direct leadership interactionApplication Process: Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for a Virtual/Face to Face interview.
