Exide Energy Solutions Limited is looking for Environment & Sustainability in the Manufacturing organisation to achieve company’s goal at the Devanahalli, Bangalore Location.Job Location: Devanahalli, BangaloreJob Overview:The position of Deputy Manager – Environment & Sustainability, plays a crucial role in driving the organization's commitment to sustainable and responsible business practices. This role involves developing and implementing strategies that align with environmental and social responsibility goals, ensuring compliance with ESG standards, and fostering a culture of sustainability within the organization.Main Responsibilities:Strategy Development Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate ESG considerations into overall business planning.Environmental Management:Lead initiatives to minimize the environmental impact of operations.Implement and oversee environmental management systems and practices. (ISO 14001)Identify opportunities for resource efficiency, waste reduction, and energy conservation.Environmental Statutory ComplianceObtaining Consent for Operation from PCB, and Amendment to the same whenever required. Monitoring the compliances related to conditions stipulated in the Environmental Clearance on regular basis during Construction/ Operation Phase and if required renewal/ expansion of the EC.Stay updated on relevant environmental regulations and ensure compliance.Planning and coordinating for effective Environment Monitoring.Sustainability Reporting:Develop and manage the reporting framework for ESG performance.Ensure accurate and transparent reporting of key sustainability metrics to stakeholders.Stakeholder Engagement Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote sustainability initiatives.Build relationships with regulatory bodies, NGOs, and industry groups to stay informed on best practices.Education:Bachelor’s or advanced degree in environmental science, sustainability, business, or a related field.Proven experience in a senior role focused on environmental management, sustainability, or ESG.In-depth knowledge of ESG frameworks, standards, and reporting requirements.Experience:6+ years of experience in Environment, Sustainability and ESG. GRI-IR certified professional is a plus. Well acquainted with BRSR, GRI, CDP, DJSI guidelines.
