This role will drive robust financial governance, accurate reporting, and tax excellence in a dynamic and evolving regulatory environment.What You Will DoTaxationOwn end-to-end direct and indirect taxation (Income Tax, GST, TDS, etc.)Interpret and implement crypto-specific tax requirements in IndiaLead tax planning, structuring, and optimizationManage assessments, audits, and litigationDrive transfer pricing and cross-border tax matters for global operationsPartner with external advisors (including Big4 firms)ControllershipLead financial reporting and monthly/annual closeEnsure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial statementsEstablish and strengthen internal controls and accounting policiesOwn statutory audits and internal auditsBuild scalable processes across GL, reconciliations, and reportingOversee accounting for high-volume transactions and digital assetsSystems & Process ExcellenceDrive automation and scalability of finance systems (Oracle NetSuite, reconciliation tools)Implement best practices for high-growth environmentsEnsure audit-ready processes and documentationTeam LeadershipBuild and lead a high-performing finance teamDrive accountability, rigor, and continuous improvementWhat You Should HaveChartered Accountant with 13–15 years of experience2–5 years in Big4 (tax or audit preferred)Strong expertise in: -Taxation (direct & indirect) -Financial reporting and controllershipExperience in startups/scale-upsAbility to operate in fast-changing, ambiguous environmentsPreferred ExperienceFintech, financial services, broking, or crypto exposureExperience with cross-border taxation and global structuresHands-on experience with Oracle NetSuiteWhat Success Looks LikeStrong, audit-ready financials with zero control gapsProactive and compliant tax managementScalable finance processes supporting growth Life at PeepalCoWe take great pride in what we do and are committed to our mission.
