Job Title

Role:This is a key technical leadership role responsible for the installation, commissioning, service support, and stabilization of SMT equipment at customer sites. The position requires strong hands-on technical expertise, the ability to lead on-site teams, manage customer escalations, and ensure high service quality and customer satisfaction across multiple projects.Responsibilities:Install, commission, and support SMT equipment during production ramp-up phasesProvide on-site customer training and application supportDeliver standby and breakdown service support as requiredRespond promptly to regional and customer service callsMonitor production performance and support SMT line stabilizationAct as the technical lead and primary point of contact during customer escalationsLead and coordinate on-site engineers during equipment installation and ramp-upPlan and prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and ensure timely project executionDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performanceEnsure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and ASMPT service processesMentor engineers and promote technical knowledge sharing within the teamSupport management with technical inputs, risk identification, and improvement actionsRequirements:Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related disciplinePreferably 12–15 years of experience in a SMT equipment service environment Strong knowledge of SMT equipment, including Printers, Pick & Place machines, and SPI systemsHands-on experience with ASMPT DEK and SIPLACE platforms is preferredExpertise in SMT machine maintenance, programming, optimization and changeover support Advanced troubleshooting skills with a structured approach to root cause analysis (RCA)Knowledge of SMT processes, particularly printing and inspectionExperience in SMT line software, MES integration, and industrial automation Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsWillingness to travel on short notice and open to relocationAbility to work effectively in a multicultural, global environmentWork Location: Bangalore, India
