He/She will independently lead the entire delivery function, own delivery strategy and execution, and build scalable processes, teams, and practices that can support growth from 75 people to 500+ over the next few years. The role requires a mature, hands-on leader with strong technical foundations, proven experience in scaling delivery organizations and a strong hunger to drive outcomes and change. He/she will serve as the single point of ownership for all aspects of project delivery and delivery operations and will support client engagement.Experience Required: 15+ yearsKey Responsibilities:Responsible for overall performance management of the delivery team spread across multiple delivery offices.Set up and refine delivery strategy, processes and governance (SDLC, Agile, PMO, quality gates, risk and change management).Own end‑to‑end delivery for all projects and products, ensuring on‑time, within‑budget, high‑quality outcomes.Lead and mentor delivery teams, including Project/Program Managers, Tech Leads and cross‑functional squads; build strong second‑line leadership.Drive predictable execution through planning, prioritization, capacity management and clear linkage of delivery work to company OKRs.Introduce industry best practices while keeping them lean for a growth‑stage company.Define and track delivery KPIs (on‑time delivery, quality/defects, client satisfaction/NPS, utilization, margins, etc.) and run regular review cadences.Partner closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, HR, and Finance on solutioning, transitions, hiring, cost, and profitability.What we are looking for:Minimum 15 years in software development / IT services with at least 5-7 years in delivery leadership roles (Head of Delivery, Delivery Director, BU/Portfolio Head, etc.).Proven track record of leading 100+ member delivery teams and being part of a company’s scale‑up journey.Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), modern engineering practices, and agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban, CI/CD, DevOps, QA automation).Experience handling multi‑project portfolios, product implementations, and support/managed services engagements simultaneously.Core technical experience (software/product development/ ERP or platform implementation) before moving into lead, PM, and delivery management rolesStrong conviction and hunger to shape delivery excellence at a fast-paced organization.Strong experience with modern delivery methodologies (Agile/Scrum/Kanban, CI/CD, DevOps, QA practices).Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills – can manage CXO‑level conversations with clients as well as coach and motivate teams on the ground.Demonstrated ability to handle escalations calmly, balance client expectations with delivery realities, and drive win‑win outcomes.Preferred Qualifications:B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.MBA or equivalent management education is an added advantage.Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, or equivalent are desirable but not mandatoryExposure to ISO, CMMI, or other process quality frameworks is a plus.What We Offer:A seat at the leadership table — direct influence on the strategic direction of a fast-scaling IT company.Opportunity to independently drive and create the delivery function — build systems, processes, and teams from the ground up.An opportunity to be a visible growth partner: as the organization scales, so does this role.Competitive compensation commensurate with experience and seniority.A collaborative, performance-driven culture where results are recognized and rewarded.
