Role: Cassandra DBA (ScyllaDB, PostgreSQL)Location: Bangalore/PuneExp: 6-10 yrsMode of interview : VirtualMust have:Cassandra / Scylla DB Administration· Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Apache Cassandra / DataStax or Scylla DB clusters.· Manage multi-datacenter, multi-node deployments.· Configure replication, consistency levels, snitches, compaction strategies, and repair settings.· Perform routine cluster health checks and maintenance tasks (repair, cleanup, decommission, rebuild).Performance & Optimization· Monitor cluster performance using tools like node tool, Grafana, Prometheus, DSE OpsCenter, Scylla Monitoring Stack.· Troubleshoot latency issues: GC tuning, compaction tuning, hot partitions, tombstone analysis.· Optimize schemas, queries, and data models for distributed systems.Operations & Support· Manage backup and restore processes using tools such as Medusa, Snapshots, Scylla Manager.· Handle incident management and production troubleshooting.· Implement automation for routine tasks (Shell/Python is fine—not heavy programming).· Participate in on-call rotation for production support.Security & Compliance· Implement authentication, authorization (role-based access), and audit controls.· Apply OS-level hardening and understand network/security requirements for distributed systems.
