The role requires hands-on experience in Indian payroll and labour laws, with proven exposure to high headcount environments and geographically distributed operations. The individual will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payroll delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesLabour Law ComplianceSupport compliance activities related to PF, ESI, PT, LWF, minimum wages, bonus, gratuity, and other applicable labour laws.Assist with statutory filings, challans, registers, and documentation.Support audits, inspections, and internal compliance reviews by ensuring data readiness and accuracy.Multi-Location CoordinationLiaise with site HR teams and operations managers across locations to collect and validate payroll data.Ensure consistency in payroll and compliance processes across offices while accommodating local nuances.Track employee movements across locations and ensure correct statutory applicability.Employee & Stakeholder SupportAct as a point of contact for employee compliance queries.Support query resolution with accuracy and within defined timelines.Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders during payroll cycles.Process Discipline & DocumentationMaintain payroll and compliance trackers, reports, and supporting documentation.Follow defined SOPs and controls; flag risks or discrepancies proactively.Support process improvement initiatives aimed at reducing errors and improving turnaround times.Qualifications & Experience3–4 years of hands-on experience in Indian payroll compliances and labour law compliance.Experience supporting high headcount organisations with employees spread across multiple locations.Practical working knowledge of PF, ESI, PT, minimum wages, bonus, gratuity, and payroll compliance processes.Exposure to compliance tools; strong Excel skills preferred.High attention to detail, strong execution mindset, and ability to work within tight payroll timelines.Good communication and coordination skills; comfortable working with multiple stakeholders.How you’ll grow Connect for impact Our exceptional team of professionals across the globe are solving some of the world’s most complex business problems, as well as directly supporting our communities, the planet, and each other.
