The role requires strong expertise in global payroll processes, statutory compliance, vendor management, and payroll transformation initiatives, preferably within Pharma or Manufacturing environments.Key Responsibilities:Global Payroll ManagementOversee end-to-end payroll processing across multiple countries ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and complianceManage payroll calendars, audits, reconciliations, and reportingEnsure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements across regions.Handle complex payroll structures including shift allowances, overtime, incentives, unionized workforce, and contract labor (as applicable).Ensure payroll accuracy, timely processing, and adherence to SLAs/KPIs.Coordinate with HRBPs, Policy, compliance, Finance, and in-country stakeholders.Manage payroll inputs related to shift differentials, overtime, production incentives, and attendance-based pay.Stakeholder & Vendor Management:Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external payroll vendors to ensure seamless payroll deliveryManage relationships with global payroll providers and ensure adherence to SLAs and KPIsAct as the primary point of contact for payroll-related escalations and queries.Compliance & Governance:Ensure adherence to global and local statutory regulations, including tax filings, social security, and auditsMaintain strong internal controls and ensure payroll data integrity and confidentialitySupport internal and external audits.Process Improvement & Transformation:Drive payroll standardization, automation, and process improvement initiativesLead implementation or optimization of payroll systems (e.g., SAP, Workday, ADP, etc.)Identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency.Reporting & Analytics:Generate payroll reports, dashboards, and insights for leadershipSupport financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting related to payroll costsRequired Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, HR, Accounting, or related field MBA preferred.Hands-on experience with payroll systems such as SAP, Workday, ADP or similar platforms.10–15 years of experience in payroll operations with significant exposure to global payrollStrong experience in Pharma or Manufacturing industry environmentsIn-depth knowledge of multi-country payroll compliance and statutory regulationsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skillsProven experience in managing payroll vendors and leading teamsPreferred Competencies:Experience in payroll transformation or global payroll consolidation projectsStrong project management skillsHigh attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlinesExcellent communication and leadership capabilities
