This is a hands-on role with strong emphasis on Cisco campus switching Catalyst, data center switching Nexus, Cisco DNA Center DNAC with Software-Defined Access SDA, Cisco 9800 wireless, Cisco Voice, and Cisco SD-WAN. Azure networking knowledge is also required. Key Responsibilities:Cisco Campus LAN Catalyst + SDA Design, implement, and operate enterprise campus networks based on Cisco Catalyst switching. Troubleshoot complex L2L3 issues across campus environments VLANs, STPMST, EtherChannel, HSRPVRRP, routing adjacencies, QoS, multicast basics as applicable. Support Cisco SDA concepts and operations:Fabric roles border control-plane nodes, edge nodesVirtual networks segments, scalable groups SGTs awareness Fabric onboarding and day-2 troubleshooting reachability, policy, authentication dependencies Drive standardization, network hygiene, and lifecycle improvements templates, golden configs, upgrades. Cisco DNA Center DNAC Operate and support Cisco DNAC for campus assurance, automation, and device lifecycle:Provisioning and inventory management Template and configuration workflows Image management SWIM and compliance checks Assurance dashboards, health metrics, and client device troubleshooting Use DNAC tooling to reduce manual effort and improve speed quality of changes.Data Center Switching Nexus Support Cisco Nexus switching platforms in data center environments. Troubleshoot DC switching routing issues, port-channels, vPC concepts as applicable, and integration with upstream/downstream connectivity. Coordinate with compute storage app teams to resolve end-to-end service issues. Wireless Cisco 9800 WLC Operate and troubleshoot Cisco 9800 WLC environments. Resolve wireless onboarding authentication, roaming, RF performance, and client connectivity issues. Support wireless upgrades, configuration standards, and operational monitoring. Voice Cisco Collaboration Provide operational support for Cisco Voice services e.g., CUCM and related components depending on the environment. Troubleshoot call quality and connectivity issues QoS, latency jitter loss, endpoint network dependencies. Cisco SD-WAN Support Cisco SD-WAN operations including overlays, routing behavior, policy intent, and site onboarding. Troubleshoot tunnel path issues, segmentation VPNVRF, application-aware routing, and failover behavior. Assist with WAN modernization initiatives and controlled rollouts. Security Firewall Awareness Demonstrate working understanding of firewall fundamentals policy, NAT, routing, zones, VPN concepts and how security controls impact network flows. Partner with security teams for change implementation and troubleshooting across network security boundaries. Operations Service Delivery Provide L3-level incident problem management, including RCA and preventative actions. Execute changes through structured change management, maintenance windows, and documentation. Maintain diagrams, runbooks, standards, and operational procedures. Participate in on-call after-hours support aligned to AU East NZ business hours as required.Required Skills:Experience 8-12 years in enterprise network engineering roles.
