Job Description

Job locations : Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Bangalore and CoimbatoreService asset and configuration management will ensure that assets required to deliver services are properly controlled, and accurate and reliable information about those assets is available when and where it is needed.Roles and ResponsibilitiesAct as a focal point for all configuration management tasks / activities to be executedDevelop configuration management plans, milestones and schedules for projectsIdentify configuration items, implement change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration auditParticipate in design and change reviews to enforce and ensure adherence to configuration procedures.Evaluate existing system configurations and recommend changes to improve or enhance performance and maintainabilityConduct CMDB audits to ensure all configuration policies and procedures are being followed and adheredPerform configuration status accounting on configuration data and tract the configuration status on a continuous basisAssist in configuration audits and implement audit recommendations.Generate and publish configuration management reports including impact analysis reports and Configuration status reportsIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement by interacting with various teams and recommend improvements for configuration managementRequired Candidate ProfileMinimum 3-5 years of relevant experience working as configuration managerShould possess good understanding of ITIL® V3 OR ITIL4 service lifecycle modulesShould have strong verbal, written communication and interpersonal skillsLead role while acting as a liaison with internal/external customersSkills RequiredStrong IT service management skillsShould have exposure to ITSM ticketing tools i.e ServiceNow, Cherwell, Symphony Summit etc.Good interpersonal, organization and customer services skillsExperience of working within Change, Configuration or Release in a demanding and complex environment.Professional CertificationsITIL® Intermediate OR Expert CertifiedCertification on market leading ITSM ticketing tools would be preferredEvaluation CriteriaPrior experience in IT service management roles, service transition processesKnowledge of ITIL® best practicesCommunication skillsClient facing role and collaboration
