Senior Robotics Engineer – Simulation & Autonomous SystemsBangalore | Full-Time | 5–8 Years ExperienceRole OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Robotics Engineer to architect and build advanced simulation and digital twin systems for large-scale autonomous platforms. In this role, you will develop high-fidelity virtual environments that accurately replicate real-world marine conditions and vehicle behavior. Your work will enable rapid testing, validation, and iteration of autonomy algorithms in a controlled environment—significantly reducing reliance on costly and time-intensive field trials. You will operate at the intersection of robotics, physics-based modeling, and real-time simulation, contributing to everything from environmental modeling and sensor simulation to full-system digital twins. This role requires strong ownership, as you will help define the simulation strategy, infrastructure, and validation frameworks that underpin the entire autonomy development lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop high-fidelity simulation environments for marine conditions (currents, waves, acoustics, etc.)Build and maintain digital twin systems for autonomous underwater vehiclesModel vehicle physics including hydrodynamics, buoyancy, and 6-DOF motionCreate realistic sensor simulations (sonar, LiDAR, IMU, cameras, etc.)Optimize simulation systems for real-time or faster-than-real-time performanceIntegrate simulation with ROS-based autonomy stacksEnable Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testingDesign validation frameworks to correlate simulation vs real-world performanceRequired QualificationsBachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field5+ years of experience in robotics simulation / modeling / digital twin systemsStrong programming skills in C++Experience with simulation engines (Unreal Engine, Unity, NVIDIA Isaac, or similar)Solid understanding of physics, linear algebra, and numerical methodsExperience with ROS / ROS2 integrationHands-on experience in physics-based simulationPreferred QualificationsExperience in marine / underwater simulation or hydrodynamicsKnowledge of autonomous systems, control systems, or validation frameworksExperience with GPU / parallel computingFamiliarity with sonar / acoustic modelingExposure to NVIDIA Omniverse / Isaac SimContributions to open-source or research publications in roboticsWhy Join UsWork on cutting-edge autonomous systems with real-world impactAccelerate development through advanced simulation technologiesSolve complex engineering challenges at the intersection of robotics and physicsOpportunity to grow into a technical leadership roleCompetitive compensation + health insurance
