PURPOSE OF ROLE:The Sr Manager owns the end-to-end quality vision and operational leadership for our UA India office. This role is responsible for driving the QA strategy across multiple cross-functional teams, directly managing a high-performing workforce manual and automation engineers. As a people-first leader, this role will play a critical role in strengthening our UA India team, ensuring our teams and digital platforms consistently meet global standards.As a strategic partner, the Senior QA Manager is embedded at the inception of the product lifecycle to build comprehensive quality testing strategies. This role will manage resource allocations in UA India office ensuring that high-priority initiatives are staffed for success. This role will contribute to drive quality best practices and continuous process improvement.Central to this role is an automation-first mindset and will champion a shift-left approach and directly contribute to the achievement of UA’s global automation goals by scaling automated test coverage across all workstreams.As people-manager this role will build a sustainable, motivated, and highly skilled team in UA India, including performance management through regular 1:1s and reviews, career mentorship across manual and automation paths, leading end-to-end recruitment and onboarding, and fostering a collaborative culture.This role will also contribute to improving and developing QA standards and operating procedures.YOUR IMPACT (Job Responsibilities):Lead software quality testing across Global QA teams, including external contractors, to ensure high quality delivery for web and native mobile applications and backend systems. Translate strategy into executable work by converting leadership direction into clear scope, priorities, and acceptance criteria Work closely with test automation teams and incorporate their capabilities, automation framework, and tools within the overall quality strategy.Champion automation, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, speed, and operational effectiveness. Provide business context and intent to the team, including customer impact, release criticality, and key dependencies. Partner closely with Global Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment, clear ownership, and proactive risk management.Set clear quality and decision standards Provide clear, actionable status reporting, including mitigation plans and Key Quality Metrics. Maintain the feedback loop between UA, UA India and vendor teams Coordinate end-to-end testing with internal UA orgs and external teams. Drive continuous improvement of quality for team, process, and product. Participate in investigation, analysis, test case development, and testing with the project team. Actively contribute to building UA's Global QA organization QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree with typically 12 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with typically 10 years of relevant experience OR 15 years of relevant experience without degree Typically 5+ years of management experience; or equivalent experience as the subject matter lead or expert in area of expertise. Experience leading Global QA teams and project quality on web and native mobile. Strong experience in building, leading, and retaining high-performing QA teams within India-based technology organizations supporting global teams. Experience working closely with test automation teams and incorporate their capabilities, automation framework, and tools within the overall quality strategy.Strong knowledge of eCommerce frontend and backend systems, including order management, APIs, integrations, and end-to-end workflow Experience operating within a large, cross-functional global enterprise, partnering effectively with technology and business stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into actionable test plans. Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies and best practices, particularly Agile SCRUM and Kanban. Solid understanding of QA standards and best practices. Ability to create a test strategy and test plan for complex multi-team projects, then socialize the test plan followed by its coordinated execution. Experience of integrating test automation as part of an overall quality strategySignificant experience in Defect Tracking and Test Management tools such as Jira and TestRail. Operate effectively across global time zones, leveraging strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with global stakeholders.Ability to promote a positive, solution-oriented team culture.
