About Fusie EngineersFusie Engineers is a fast-growing engineering services company specializing in offshore, maritime, energy, and heavy civil sectors. We deliver end-to-end solutions across offshore structural design, heavy lift engineering, ship design, vessel retrofits, marine engineering, steel detailing, and more. Fusie EngineersDriven by innovation and technical excellence, we partner with clients globally to tackle complex engineering missions with precision and integrity. Our vision is to “engineer a sustainable future”, combining cutting-edge design methods and in-house multidisciplinary capabilities. At Fusie, every engineer has the opportunity to make a direct impact on real engineering challenges—from integrating mechanical systems, to designing innovative structural systems, to optimizing for manufacturability and performance. We believe in creating a culture of learning, ownership, and high standards.About the RoleFusie Engineers is seeking a Mechanical Designer with strong fundamentals in mechanical design and a practical understanding of systems with moving parts and assemblies. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in 3D modeling using Autodesk Inventor, an excellent grasp of GD&T, and the ability to integrate mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components into cohesive designs ready for fabrication and assembly. This position involves working on offshore and heavy engineering equipment, including lifting systems, handling tools, winch assemblies, frames, and custom mechanisms developed for the marine and offshore sectors.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop mechanical systems and subassemblies involving moving parts, rotating components, and linkages using Autodesk Inventor.Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles in detailed fabrication and assembly drawings to ensure fit, form, and functional accuracy.Integrate bought-out items such as winches, sheaves, bearings, gears, linear guides, motors, actuators, and hydraulic components into overall system layouts.Conduct interference checks, motion studies, and design validation for mechanical assemblies.Create 2D manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and weldment drawings conforming to industry standards.Collaborate with the structural and hydraulic teams to ensure proper load paths, stiffness, and maintainability in complex mechanical systems.Prepare clear documentation for handover to fabrication, including exploded views, material lists, and assembly procedures.Skills & CompetenciesProficient in Autodesk Inventor (3D modeling, assemblies, weldments, drawings, BOM management).Excellent understanding of GD&T and mechanical detailing standards.Strong grasp of mechanism design—linkages, shafts, bearings, couplings, gears, and transmission systems.Familiarity with bought-out component selection (winches, pulleys, bearings, actuators, etc.).Exposure to sheet metal and weldment design preferred.QualificationsB.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.Minimum 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design or product development.Hands-on experience with Autodesk Inventor or similar modelling software is mandatory.Exposure to marine, offshore, or heavy equipment design will be a strong advantage.Familiarity with standards such as ISO, DNV, or ASME is a plus.Compensation: Based on experience and demonstrated technical skill. What We Offer
