Role Description: We are looking for a passionate and skilled Product Design Engineer with strong proficiency in SolidWorks to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end mechanical design of amphibious and underwater drone systems, from concept to production, ensuring optimal performance, durability, and ease of manufacturing. You will lead the design and development of robust, operator-grade Amphibious / Underwater Drone Development.Key Responsibilities: • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for amphibious and underwater drones using SolidWorks. • Create 3D CAD models, detailed 2D drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation. • Conduct tolerance of stack-up analysis, material selection, and basic structural analysis. • Work closely with cross-functional teams including electronics, embedded systems, hydrodynamics, and manufacturing. • Participate in prototyping, testing, and refinement of product designs. • Modify designs based on testing results, user feedback, and field performance. • Ensure designs meet IP (Ingress Protection), thermal, and structural requirements for harsh environments. • Coordinate with vendors and fabrication partners to ensure manufacturability and costeffectiveness.Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Mechatronics, or related field. • 5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical/product design. • Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling, assemblies, and drawings. • Good understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes (CNC, 3D printing, injection molding, etc.). • Strong attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. • Experience with drone systems or underwater vehicles is a plus. • Knowledge of CFD or FEA tools (e.g., Ansys, SolidWorks Simulation).
