This is not a “send press release and chill” role.You’ll be in the middle of everything we’re trying to say externally — launches, founder narratives, product stories, and moments that deserve attention.What you’ll ownTurning everyday company updates into stories worth pitchingWriting fast - press notes, pitches, founder quotes, reactive statementsReaching out to journalists and actually getting responses (not just sending mails into the void)Managing follow-ups, nudges, and last-minute asks without things slippingTracking what lands, what doesn’t - and figuring out whyBeing on top of the news cycle to plug us into relevant conversationsWhat this role needs (beyond basics)You have a nose for what’s a story vs what’s noiseYou’re comfortable with ambiguity — half the time the brief won’t be perfectYou can handle pressure / quick turnarounds without panickingYou don’t wait for instructions — you push things forwardYou care about outcomes (coverage, quality), not just activityEveryone at Leap is entrepreneurial, moves fast and operates with extreme ownership.
