We are looking for a Manager of Electrical Engineering to lead new product development of electrical hardware for energy storage, load controllers, and transfer switches. This role is responsible for designing and delivering power electronics hardware that integrates tightly with firmware, power subsystems, and mechanical assemblies.Key Responsibilities:• Lead the EE team responsible for power electronics hardware design, development, and validation for CES energy products•Own full product lifecycle execution: schematic design, layout guidance, board bring-up, lab validation, and design for test and manufacture•Architect and review designs covering analog signal conditioning, digital interfaces, MCUs, sensors, and communication buses (CAN, UART, RS-485, and others)•Partner closely with firmware, mechanical, test, and manufacturing teams to deliver highly integrated, production-ready designs•Drive builds across EVT, DVT, and PVT, managing technical risk and coordinating with contract manufacturers and test partners•Provide technical mentorship, lead design reviews, and actively develop team members•Support sustaining engineering and field issue resolution as products mature in the market.Minimum Qualifications•BSEE or MSEE with 7+ years of experience in power electronics hardware development•Strong background in electronics design, embedded systems, and board-level hardware architecture•Hands-on lab experience with board bring-up, validation, debugging, and test automation tools•Familiarity with design constraints related to thermal management, EMC, safety, and manufacturability•Proven track record of cross-functional execution in new product development environments•Experience with design documentation and ECO control processes•Background with high-reliability products operating in demanding, long-warranty environments•Experience in PCB engineering including fabrication and assembly technologies, strain/stress analysis, thermal management, and connector/cable design.Preferred Qualifications•Experience with energy systems, IoT devices, or embedded hardware in regulated environments•Exposure to compliance testing (UL/IEC/EMC) and design transfer to contract manufacturing•Experience shipping products at scale — 1M+ units•Knowledge of low-power design, sensor integration, or signal integrity optimization•Prior experience building or scaling hardware development teams•Embedded firmware development experienceUnderstanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals — boundary/force diagrams, stress/strain, 1D thermodynamics, and common manufacturing techniques (CNC, injection molding, laser cutting, 3D printing)
