This role supports a US-based client and offers the opportunity to work in a fully remote, high-ownership environment.Role DescriptionThe Procurement & Sourcing Category Lead will be responsible for driving end-to-end procurement strategy with a strong focus on direct procurement within a manufacturing environment. The role involves leading category management, executing sourcing initiatives, optimizing SAP MM processes, and delivering sustainable cost efficiencies.This position requires close collaboration with planning, production, logistics, and finance teams to ensure seamless procurement operations and alignment with business objectives. The role also includes supplier performance management, inventory optimization, and development of analytics and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.This is a full-time, fully remote role supporting a US-based client during 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM IST working hours.Qualifications8+ years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong expertise in direct procurement and category managementProven experience in driving RFx processes and supplier negotiationsHands-on experience with SAP MM (mandatory) with strong process optimization skillsDemonstrated track record of delivering cost savings and efficiency improvementsExperience managing supplier performance and global sourcing initiativesStrong understanding of inventory optimization and supply chain alignmentAdvanced proficiency in Excel and data analysisExperience with dashboarding tools such as Power BI or similarStrong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skillsAbility to work independently in a remote, client-facing environment
