From climate-controlled grow rooms to kitchens, research labs, and community forays, we work across cultivation, education, and innovation to push fungi forward.About the PositionWe are seeking candidates for our Lab team in multiple roles. There are numerous opportunities available at different levels, depending on your skill set and past work experience: Lab Assistant, Junior Lab Technician and Senior Lab Technician.Key ResponsibilitiesDepending on the level at which you are hired, you will be required to perform some or all of the below tasks: Inoculation Procedures: Carry out inoculation procedures with precision and efficiency, adhering to established protocols for introducing cultures into grow bags. Ensure sterility is maintained throughout the process and place the inoculated bags securely in the incubation rooms.Culture Maintenance: To ensure regular monitoring and maintenance of cell cultures.Quality Control: Supervise contamination checks on mushroom grow bags as per SOPs by closely monitoring mushroom growth and promptly identifying any issues or abnormalities. Troubleshoot any problems in a timely manner.Documentation: Prepare reports and summaries of laboratory findings for management and regulatory purposes.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor or Master in Biotechnology, or related fields (Microbiology, preferred).Experience: 1-2 years of experience in any laboratory/ mushroom cultivation or similar roles for the Lab Assistant & Junior Lab Technician position. 3-5 years of experience for the Senior Lab Technician position.Skills RequiredBasic understanding of laboratory techniques such as laminar air flow, autoclave, pH meter, etc.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong attention to detail and excellent record-keeping skills.Good communication skills and the ability to effectively convey findings and observations.Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.To apply, please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and qualifications to
