Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Platform Architect to define, design, and govern the architecture of enterprise-grade, full-stack applications on hyperscale cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). This role owns the technical blueprint for scalable, secure, and modular systems—ensuring that applications are built for reliability at scale, operational excellence, and long-term maintainability. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in cloud-native design patterns, security governance, observability, and cross-functional technical leadership.Key Responsibilities:Architect end-to-end enterprise applications across frontend, backend, data, and infrastructure layers on AWS, Azure, GCP, or multi-cloud environments.Define and enforce platform-level standards for modularity, service decomposition, API contracts, and domain-driven design.Design scalable, highly available architectures using microservices, event-driven patterns, serverless, and container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS/EKS, GKE, AKS).Establish security governance frameworks including identity and access management (IAM), zero-trust networking, secrets management, encryption at rest and in transit, and compliance posture (SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR).Design and implement comprehensive observability strategies covering logging, metrics, distributed tracing, and alerting using tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, or OpenTelemetry.Define CI/CD architecture and deployment strategies including blue-green, canary, and progressive rollouts across environments.Drive cost optimization through resource right-sizing, reserved capacity planning, spot/preemptible instance strategies, and FinOps practices.Lead architecture reviews, threat modeling sessions, and design governance forums with engineering and product teams.Evaluate and recommend cloud-native managed services, third-party tools, and open-source technologies aligned to enterprise requirements.Mentor engineering teams on architectural best practices, cloud design patterns, and platform standards.Create and maintain architecture decision records (ADRs), reference architectures, and platform runbooks.Requirements:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.10+ years of experience in software engineering or platform engineering with 3–5+ years in an architecture or principal engineer role.Deep expertise in at least one major hyperscaler (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with working knowledge of a second.Strong full-stack design sensibility spanning frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Next.js), backend services (Node.js, Java, Python, Go), databases (relational, NoSQL, graph), and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SNS/SQS).Proven track record of designing systems that serve high-throughput, low-latency workloads at enterprise scale.Hands-on experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes), service mesh (Istio, Linkerd), and API gateway patterns.Strong understanding of security architecture including IAM, OAuth 2.0/OIDC, network segmentation, WAF, and data protection controls.Experience with observability and monitoring stacks (OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Grafana/Loki, ELK, or equivalent).Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation) and GitOps workflows.Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex architectural decisions for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Nice to Have:Cloud architecture certifications (AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, GCP Professional Cloud Architect).Experience designing platforms that support ML/AI workloads, model serving infrastructure, or GenAI application backends.Familiarity with platform engineering tooling such as Backstage, Crossplane, or internal developer platforms (IDPs).Exposure to FinOps frameworks and cloud cost governance at scale.Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architecture and data isolation patterns. Background in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, or government) with compliance-driven architecture requirements.
