Job Description:Data Solution Architect (SAP BW & Microsoft Fabric)Experience Level: 12+ YearsLocation: India, RemoteTechnical Focus: SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Datasphere, and Microsoft FabricDomain Experience: ManufacturingPosition Overview:We are seeking a visionary Principal Solution Architect to lead the strategic convergence of our enterprise SAP landscape with the Microsoft Azure/Fabric ecosystem. With over 12+ years of experience, you aren't just a technical expert; you are a bridge-builder between legacy stability and modern agility.The ideal candidate will own the architectural roadmap for transitioning complex SAP BW workloads into SAP Datasphere and orchestrating seamless integration with Microsoft Fabric. You will be the primary authority on how we store, process, and democratize data across these two powerhouse platforms.Key Responsibilities: 1.Stratigic Roadmap & Design:Design and implement end-to-end data architectures that leverage SAP Datasphere for SAP-centric insights and Microsoft Fabric for cross-functional enterprise analytics.Lead the migration strategy from legacy SAP BW/BW/4HANA environments to modern, cloud-native architectures (Data Mesh/Data Fabric).Define the /"Gold Standard/" for data modeling, ensuring interoperability between SAP’s analytical engine and Fabric’s OneLake.2.Techniical Leadership:Architect robust integration patterns (e.g., OData, ABAP SDK for Azure, Mirroring in Fabric) to ensure low-latency data movement.Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Microsoft Fabric components, including Data Factory, Synapse Data Engineering, and Power BI Direct Lake mode.Oversee the transition of complex SAP BEx queries and Calculated Views into modern semantic models.3.Governance & Optimization:Establish unified data governance frameworks that span both SAP and Microsoft environments (Purview + SAP Datasphere Governance).Optimize performance and cost-management strategies for large-scale data processing in the cloud.Mentor senior engineers and developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.Required Qualifications:Experience: 12+ years in Data Engineering, Architecture, or Business Intelligence.SAP Core: Deep mastery of SAP BW, BW/4HANA, and HANA Modeling. Proven track record of at least one full-scale implementation or migration to SAP Datasphere.Microsoft Core: Hands-on experience architecting solutions in Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure Synapse. Proficiency in Spark (PySpark/Scala), SQL, and Power BI.Integration Expertise: Expert knowledge of SAP extraction methods (ODP, SDI, SLT) and integrating SAP data with non-SAP environments.Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
