This is a pivotal role that combines technical expertise with leadership capabilities. This individual will be responsible for leading Salesforce Engineers, driving the development and execution of engineering projects, and ensuring that technical solutions align with the company's strategic objectives. The Principal Engineer will foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.The role will be responsible for leading and managing a team of technical professionals to deliver high-quality technology solutions for the Online Savings Bank and managing the end-to-end technical delivery to the required quality standards. The role will also be responsible for managing relationships with partners, ensuring that they meet the required technical and delivery standards.Core ResponsibilitiesArchitect and Design Scalable Solutions: Lead the architecture and design of robust, scalable Salesforce solutions that meet both short-term and long-term business requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and technical standards.End-to-End Salesforce Solution Ownership: Drive the end-to-end development lifecycle of Salesforce solutions, including solution design, implementation, testing, and post-deployment support, with an emphasis on delivering high-performance, secure, and maintainable solutions.Advanced Customization and Optimization: Leverage deep technical expertise in Apex, Lightning Components, Visualforce, and Salesforce's full suite of tools to develop and customize applications that are optimized for both performance and user experience.Complex System Integration Strategy: Design and oversee the implementation of complex, high-performance integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data flow and consistency across platforms.Lead and facilitate technical discussions around solution architecture, driving decisions around system design, integration strategies, data models, and scalability to ensure alignment with business needs and technical best practices.Establish Technical Best Practices and Governance: Define and enforce architectural standards, security protocols, and best practices, ensuring that the Salesforce platform is configured and developed in compliance with industry standards and company policies.Mentorship and Team Leadership: Provide leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers, guiding them through technical challenges, ensuring quality coding standards, and fostering continuous professional growth.Testing and Quality Assurance: Advocate for and ensure the implementation of Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices, while maintaining high unit-test coverage and ensuring that all solutions meet rigorous quality and security standards.Strategic Roadmap and Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with stakeholders to define the Salesforce platform roadmap, driving strategic improvements to maximize the platform’s value while continuously optimizing the development lifecycle.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, product managers, and other engineering teams to ensure solutions are aligned with business needs, technical constraints, and scalability considerations.Stay current on new technologies and trends and evaluate their potential impact on the company's technology strategy.Experience RequirementsProven experience specifically in a Salesforce Solutioning role, managing engineering teams working within Financial Services or Banking is essentialExtensive experience with banking systems, payment processing, and core banking platforms.Experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices is highly desirable.Knowledge RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field.12+ years of experience in Salesforce development and architecture.Expert in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, Flows, Process Builders, and Salesforce API integrations.Strong knowledge of Salesforce data models, SOQL, Data Loader, and SOSL.Understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum processes.Nice to have : nCino, Mambu
