Job Title: Manager Quality – Food and NutritionLocation: DoddaballpurJob Type: Full-TimeAbout The Role: As the Manager Quality – Food and Nutrition, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our food and nutritional products. You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance strategies, standards, and processes to guarantee that our products meet and exceed industry and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:Quality Assurance Strategy: Develop and execute a quality assurance strategy that aligns with the company's overall quality objectives, including setting and achieving key performance indicators.Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards, such as GMP, HACCP, FSSAI, FSSC 22000, BIS, NPOP, NAB and other food safety standards. Keep up-to-date with changes in regulations and proactively implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.Responsible for handling FSSC 22000 audits, including internal, external, surveillance, and recertification audits, ensuring full compliance with all applicable standards. The role also involves developing, implementing, and continuously maintaining an effective Food Safety Management System (FSMS) to uphold product safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.Laboratory: Ensure compliance to ISO 17025 and company quality system requirements in the laboratory. Assist with laboratory administrative duties, Maintain smooth laboratory work flow, Obtain lab certifications and complete QA/QC assignments.Quality Control: Implement and manage robust quality control processes for incoming, in-process, and outgoing produce, including visual inspection, sensory evaluation, and laboratory testing.Supplier Management: Collaborate with the procurement team to evaluate, select, and manage suppliers, ensuring they meet our quality and safety requirements. Conduct regular supplier audits.Training and Development: Train and educate staff at all levels on quality and food safety standards, ensuring a strong quality culture within the regional teams.Quality Reporting: Prepare regular quality and safety reports, tracking and analysing key performance metrics. Identify areas for improvement and drive corrective actions.Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess and improve the quality assurance processes and systems, leveraging industry best practices and innovations.Issue Resolution: Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances, and develop effective corrective and preventive actions.Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with cross-functional teams, ensuring that quality standards are understood and met throughout the production and supply chain.Budget Management: Manage the quality assurance budget for the region, optimizing resources to achieve quality and safety objectives.Qualifications:Bachelor's / Masters degree in Food Science, Agriculture, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in quality assurance and food safety in the food and nutrition industry.Strong knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and quality culture.Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
