We are seeking a seasoned Sourcing / Procurement / SCM professional with metal fabrication & equipment’s industry experience to lead, plan, and execute supply chain activities for large-scale fabrication projects. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of heavy fabrication processes (steel, structural and heavy machinery) and a strong background in procurement, logistics, inventory, and vendor management. Key Responsibilities: · End-to-End Supply Chain Management: Manage procurement, inventory, logistics, and delivery for fabrication materials such as steel, castings, forgings, welding consumables, and other critical items.· Vendor Development & Management: Identify, assess, and develop vendors for fabrication materials, machining, coating, and specialized services.· Material Planning & Control: Prepare material requirement plans (MRP) based on project schedules, drawings, and BOMs; ensure on-time availability of materials to avoid production delays.· Cost Control: Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality standards.· Technical Understanding: Read and interpret engineering drawings, material specifications (ASTM, ASME, DIN standards), and fabrication processes to ensure supply accuracy.· Inventory Management: Oversee raw material stock levels, buffer stock, and optimize inventory turnover without risking shortages.· Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with production, QA/QC, project management, and engineering teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.· Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards in all supply chain activities. Key Skills & Competencies: · Knowledge of heavy fabrication processes: cutting, bending, welding, machining, assembly.· Experience with structural fabrication and heavy equipment manufacturing is highly preferred.· Skills in vendor management, negotiation, material planning, and cost control.· MS Office including MS Excel Education & Experience: · Diploma & Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management (preferred) with relevant experience· 3–6 years of experience in Sourcing / Procurement / Machining & SCM roles within fabrication and manufacturing.
