Head - Structural EngineeringExperience- 20+ yrsLocation-GurgaonJob Purpose- Perform structural analysis on existing telecommunication structures (including self-supporting, guyed, monopoles and their foundations) to conclude on tower capacity and give recommendations for strengthening needed to increase capacityDesign new towers, tower foundations and strengthening the existing towersReview new service requests pertaining to collocation & upgrades and determines the proper action to be taken, reviews physical verification reports and recommends remediation requirements on towers.Roles and Responsibilities-Structure Design and PlanningResponsible for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating technical assignments, ensuring that standards and procedures are adhered to, and recommending process improvements plan approaches for working on tasks involving non-standard engineering issuesCollaborate with peers and other departments to help minimize problems with workflow or changes that would impact the team and also provides to the team guidance on rules and regulations on technical matters pertaining to structural and civil engineeringReview service requests to determine that adequate information is provided & perform feasibility analysisReview tower structures and foundations for existing, proposed and reserved tenant configurationsPerform analysis on towers using hand calculations, tower analysis software and other accepted methodsPropose design modifications for tower and foundation strengtheningValidate PLVA (Pole Loading Validation Activity) and TLVA (Tower Loading Validation Activity) reports prepared by third party structural consultantsValidate the strengthening drawings and BOQ pertaining to PLVA and TLVAAnswer structure-related inquiries from internal and external customersConclude tower loading feasibility for new collocation and upgrade requests on existing towers/"Technology Monitoring and ImplementationContribute towards development of new designs and techniques to bring in efficienciesComplete specialized assignments requiring complex structural design calculationsAssist with the selection of new design and analysis toolsKeep abreast of new engineering and drafting technical methods and developments, innovating as opportunities arise and technology allowsQuality ManagementImplement and follow quality control proceduresEngage with State Electricity Boards on an ongoing basis to ensure strong electricity availability.
