Role Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Buyer / Merchandiser to support the end-to-end buying and product development process for Anita Dongre Home. The role requires strong follow-up skills, process clarity, and the ability to coordinate seamlessly across design, vendors, and production teams.Key Responsibilities:1. Product Development & Buying SupportAssist in the end-to-end buying cycle—from concept development to final delivery Coordinate with design teams to understand product briefs, materials, and timelines Track sampling progress and ensure timely development as per calendar 2. Vendor Coordination & Follow-UpsMaintain regular and structured follow-ups with vendors for sampling, approvals, and production Ensure timely submission of swatches, lab dips, and prototypes Build strong vendor relationships to improve responsiveness and efficiency 3. Process ManagementSupport in maintaining and updating critical trackers (sampling, orders, production, deliveries) Ensure adherence to timelines across all stages of development and production Understand and follow standard buying and merchandising processes 4. Order Execution & ProductionAssist in raising purchase orders and monitoring order status Track production progress and flag delays proactively Coordinate with logistics for dispatch and delivery timelines 5. Quality & Attention to DetailSupport in reviewing samples and production pieces for quality, finishing, and consistency Ensure alignment with brand standards and specifications Key Skills & Requirements:Strong follow-up and coordination skills (critical for success in this role) Understanding of merchandising and buying processes High attention to detail and organizational ability Good communication and vendor management skills Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Excel / tracking tools Preferred Background:3-5 years of experience in merchandising / buying (home, textile, or lifestyle preferred) Exposure to product development and vendor coordination
