Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on Healthcare Interoperability Consultant with strong experience in CCDA, HL7 v2, and FHIR based integrations.This role involves designing, building, troubleshooting, and optimizing clinical data interfaces across EHRs, HIEs, and downstream platforms.The ideal candidate has worked on real world healthcare integrations, understands US healthcare workflows, and can own interfaces end to end.Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain healthcare interfaces using CCDA, HL7 v2, and FHIRParse, validate, ingest, and transform CCDA documents including encounters, medications, allergies, labs, procedures, and immunizationsPerform CCDA to FHIR mappings aligned with US Core profilesDevelop and support FHIR based APIs using RESTful servicesBuild and manage HL7 v2 message flows (ADT, ORU, ORM, SIU, MDM, DFT)Troubleshoot data quality issues across XML, HL7, and JSON payloadsWork with EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, and MeditechImplement interfaces using integration engines like Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, eLink, Corepoint, or similar toolsCollaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver reliable integrationsEnsure compliance with HIPAA and US healthcare data standardsParticipate in interface monitoring, production support, and incident resolutionDesired Profile: 7+ years of hands-on experience in Healthcare InteroperabilityStrong working experience with HL7 v2 messagingHands on experience with CCDA parsing and validationWorking knowledge of FHIR resources and APIsExperience with at least one integration engine (Mirth, Rhapsody, eLink, Corepoint, OpenEngine, Cloverleaf, etc.)Exposure to US healthcare data and workflowsAbility to troubleshoot production issues independentlyBasic to intermediate experience with SQL and scripting or programming (Java, Python, or JavaScript)Understanding of healthcare compliance and patient data privacyStrong communication, analytical thinking, and collaboration skillsHiLabs is an equal opportunity employer (EOE).
