Position SummaryThe Senior Finance Business System Analyst is responsible for providing continuity, stability, and incremental improvement of our Finance systems. This role serves as the primary technology partner for Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and related stakeholders, ensuring effective day to day support, trusted stakeholder engagement, and reliable execution of Finance system requests.This role will operate within an established Finance systems environment, with Sage Intacct as the primary ERP. The Analyst will work closely with Finance business partners to understand functional and technical needs, translate those needs into actionable requirements, and deliver solutions using Agile practices. Given the team of one nature of this function, the ideal candidate is comfortable operating independently, prioritizing work, and engaging directly with both business and technical partners.Responsibilities· Participate in a structured handoff with the current Finance Systems owner prior to leave, including knowledge transfer, documentation review, and shadowing of key processes· Act as the primary Finance systems point of contact during the maternity leave coverage period, ensuring continuity of support and stakeholder confidence· Partner closely with Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, and other Finance stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable, pragmatic system solutions· Provide hands on administration and support of Sage Intacct, including configuration, reporting, troubleshooting, and coordination of enhancements· Own intake, prioritization, and delivery of Finance system requests using Agile practices, including story definition, backlog grooming, and regular stakeholder communication· Analyze and document current state business processes and systems, identifying opportunities for operational improvement and efficiency· Serve as the technical subject matter expert for Finance system functionality, integrations, and downstream impacts· Participate in design discussions with architects, application administrators, and developers, documenting solution options, considerations, and tradeoffs· Coordinate with owners of upstream and downstream systems to manage integrations, data flows, and issue resolution· Support Finance operations during critical periods such as month end and quarter end close from a systems and tooling perspective· Maintain and update system documentation, process flows, and runbooks throughout the coverage period· Manage and review Finance technology admin tickets to ensure timely resolution and clear communication with stakeholders· Support ad hoc audit, access review, or control related requests as needed, without primary ownership of compliance programs· Partner with the returning Finance Systems owner to transition responsibilities back at the end of the maternity leave, including documentation walkthroughs, open item reviews, and stakeholder context sharingMUST HAVE Skills and Experience· 5 or more years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst supporting Finance or Accounting systems in a high growth, technology focused environment· Strong hands on experience administering and supporting Sage Intacct in a production environment· Experience supporting core ERP Finance modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Revenue, and Budgeting· Experience supporting Financial SaaS applications such as Sage Intacct, Concur, Vena, or similar tools· Demonstrated ability to operate independently in a team of one or sole system owner model· Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to balance urgency, impact, and capacity· Experience using Agile methodologies to manage intake, prioritize work, and deliver incremental value· Proven ability to create clear, practical documentation that improves operational efficiency· Ability to ramp quickly in an existing system landscape and deliver value within a fixed term role
