About UbieUbie is a health-tech company leveraging AI to transform healthcare experiences for patients and providers. We're looking for a part-time Security Engineer to help drive our security compliance initiatives across our product and infrastructure.The RoleYou'll work closely with our engineering and security teams to ensure our products and infrastructure meet the compliance standards expected in healthcare. This is a hands-on role that blends security expertise with real engineering work — you won't just be writing policies, you'll be building and validating the systems that back them up.What You'll DoLead and support compliance efforts across HIPAA, SOC 2, and GDPR, etc. including gap assessments, control implementation, and audit preparation. On the engineering side, review and harden our GCP infrastructure, work with product teams to embed security into development workflows, and help automate compliance checks where possible.Help maintain and improve our security documentation and evidence collection processes.What We're Looking ForWe need someone with meaningful experience in security compliance frameworks — particularly HIPAA, SOC 2, and GDPR — who has also worked as an engineer. Specifically, you should bring strong familiarity with GCP services (Cloud Run, BigQuery, GKE, IAM, Cloud Logging, etc.) and an understanding of how healthcare provider environments work, including the sensitivity of clinical data and the operational realities of health systems. Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, CI/CD pipeline security, and container security is a plus. Bonus points if you've worked at a health-tech or digital health company before.DetailsThis is a part-time, contract position. We're flexible on hours but expect roughly 15–20 hours per week.
