EO enables learners to access IIT Bombay’s world-class faculty and research expertise through online, hybrid, and in-person programs that blend academic depth with industry relevance.Role Overview:The Instructional Designer will play a key role in designing and developing high-quality, engaging learning experiences for IIT Bombay’s Educational Outreach initiatives.This role focuses on curriculum design, storyboarding, and creating interactive e-learning content using tools such as PowerPoint and Articulate 360. You will work closely with faculty and cross-functional teams to translate academic content into structured, learner-centric formats.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with faculty to define learning objectives and design curriculum frameworks for online and blended programsCreate course outlines, lesson plans, and instructional materials aligned with best practicesDevelop high-quality PowerPoint presentations with advanced animations, transitions, and triggersDesign engaging multimedia content including videos, assessments, and interactive modulesStoryboard lessons and video content using PowerPoint, Word, or ExcelBuild e-learning assets using tools like Articulate Rise and StorylineConduct quality checks to ensure instructional effectiveness, accuracy, and accessibilityEnsure compliance with copyright and regulatory standardsWork closely with videographers, program managers, and designers for seamless course deliveryStay updated with instructional design trends and bring innovation into learning solutionsDesired Experience / Skills:Bsc/Msc in a relevant field; candidates with formal training or certification in Instructional Design or e-learning tools will be preferred.4–6 years of experience in instructional design, preferably in academic or university settingsStrong expertise in PowerPoint (animations, triggers) is mandatoryHands-on experience with Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise, Studio)Experience in content curation and building structured learning journeysFamiliarity with LMS platforms and e-learning authoring toolsStrong project management and stakeholder coordination skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to simplify complex concepts into engaging learning experiencesPlease note:This is a Mumbai-based, on-campus role at IIT Bombay.
