Design Engineer – Design of the Chassis systems- steering, suspension and brakes systemsLocation: Pune OnsitePosition Type: PermanentKey Responsibilities with brief description according to priorityKnowledge & understanding of the function and working principle of commercial vehicles chassis systems. ·To support the preliminary specifications of front and rear suspensions, steering and brake systems. ·To support Front and rear suspension type, hard point definition and kinematics study with support from the simulation team. ·Packaging and envelope study of wheel end as per the suspension/ steering kinematics.Rigid axle, suspension and wheel end interface brackets design. ·Pneumatic brake system layout and system integration for HCV.RCBT type steering system design and integration for HCV.3D CAD, drawings and BOM preparation.Design release of proprietary and BTP parts as per customer’s design release process.CAD Skills:Strong 2D and 3D CAD skills in Catia V5 (Parametric Modelling)Good Knowledge in Top down & Bottom-up Assembly, Skeleton Modelling, Drafting, Sheet metalGood knowledge of creating BOM Structure in CAD. Strong working knowledge of PLM/TeamcenterPrepare 3D/2D Assembly, installation drawings and Sub-assemblies of suspension system 5. Good understanding of GD&TEssential: ·B.E., or B. Tech, in Mechanical engineeringUnderstanding of pneumatic service and parking brake actuation systemsUnderstanding of leaf spring and bogie suspension architectures used in commercial vehicles ·Integration of RCBT steering system with ESP.Understanding of the steering system of commercial vehicles.Experience in Catia V5 modeling with PLM/ Team Center.Thanks & RegardsBhawesh KaushikE:
