Compliance Officer (REMOTE) – Law Firm | Dubai About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Officer to join our legal practice in Dubai. The role focuses on ensuring full compliance with applicable UAE regulations, AML/CTF requirements, and internal policies, while supporting the firm’s risk management and regulatory obligations. Key Responsibilities Review and verify KYC/AML documentation for new and existing clients, ensuring completeness and regulatory compliance Conduct client due diligence (CDD) and ongoing monitoring in line with UAE AML/CTF regulations Perform sanctions screening, PEP checks, and adverse media checks using relevant local and international databases Monitor client activities and transactions to identify suspicious or unusual behavior , and escalate where required Assist in maintaining and updating the firm’s Compliance Monitoring Program Prepare regular compliance and AML reports for management and relevant authorities Handle and track client compliance-related inquiries and complaints , escalating when necessary Ensure adherence to all internal compliance policies (AML, Sanctions, Risk, Staff Conduct, etc.) Support internal audits and regulatory inspections Ensure timely completion of mandatory AML/CTF trainings and assist in internal awareness initiatives Respond promptly to AML, CTF, and sanctions-related queries Requirements Bachelor’s degree Experience in compliance, AML, or risk Basic understanding of UAE AML/CTF regulations and international compliance standards Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Excellent written and verbal communication skills High level of attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and professionalism Team player with the ability to escalate complex matters appropriately What We Offer Opportunity to work within a professional legal environment in Dubai Exposure to regulatory, AML, and compliance frameworks in a law firm setting Career growth within compliance and legal operations Application Note: Due to the high volume of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
