Clients expect a high level of accuracy, consistency, and strategic alignment across all returns.Role Overview We are hiring a Senior Tax Reviewer who operates at a manager level and thinks beyond preparation. This role is responsible for reviewing U.S. tax returns with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and correct implementation of tax strategies before final U.S. review. This is not a checklist-based role. The ideal candidate identifies inconsistencies, questions assumptions, and ensures that strategy intent is properly reflected in the return.Key Responsibilities Review complex U.S. tax returns including 1040s (all schedules), 1120S, 1065, and 1120 Review multi-entity structures and flow-through relationships Perform detailed prior-year comparison analysis to identify missing income, structural changes, and unexplained variances Reconcile financial statements, supporting documents, and tax return outputs Validate that tax strategies have been correctly implemented, including elections, deductions, entity structuring, and timing strategies Identify partial or incorrect implementation of strategies Detect inconsistencies, omissions, and misclassifications Prepare clear, structured review notes outlining issues, impact, and recommended next steps Required Experience 6–10+ years of U.S. tax experience Proven experience reviewing tax returns, not just preparing them Strong experience with complex 1040s and all schedules Strong experience with 1120S, 1065, and 1120 returns Experience working with multi-entity structures Exposure to tax planning or strategy implementation Required Skills Strong analytical and critical thinking ability Ability to identify inconsistencies and missing elements Understanding of how tax strategies should appear in completed returns Clear and concise written communication High attention to detail Ability to work independently and make judgment calls Compensation $25–$40 USD Higher compensation available for candidates with proven manager-level review capability Application Process Resume submission Written screening responses Interview process Technical test project
