Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – AI & Data PlatformsLocation: Mumbai, IndiaReporting to: Chief AI Officer Role OverviewWe are seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology strategy and execution with a strong focus on AI and Data Science platforms. Based in Mumbai, this role carries group-wide responsibility for both internal and external platforms, supporting our AI-driven offerings and digital transformation initiatives.The CTO will play a critical role in industrializing AI and data capabilities, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing platforms that power both internal operations and client-facing solutions.This is a hybrid role combining technology leadership, platform engineering, and AI enablement. Key ResponsibilitiesTechnology & AI StrategyDefine and execute the group’s technology strategy with a strong emphasis on AI, data, and analytics platformsPartner with AI & Data Science leadership to industrialize models into scalable products and platformsDrive innovation in areas such as GenAI, advanced analytics, and data-driven products Platform Ownership (Internal & Client-Facing)Own the architecture and scalability of:Internal platforms (data platforms, knowledge systems, AI tooling, internal apps)External/client-facing platforms (AI-powered solutions, digital products, client delivery platforms)Ensure seamless data pipelines, model deployment, and system integrationBuild reusable, modular, and scalable platform components AI & Data Platform EngineeringLead the development of end-to-end AI/ML platforms (data ingestion, training, deployment, monitoring)Establish best practices for:MLOps / LLMOpsData engineering and governanceModel lifecycle managementEnsure reliability, reproducibility, and scalability of AI solutions Engineering Leadership & DeliveryBuild and lead multidisciplinary teams across:Software engineeringData engineeringML engineeringPlatform & DevOpsDrive a strong engineering culture focused on quality, speed, and innovationOversee delivery of complex, multi-platform initiatives Data, Security & InfrastructureDefine and implement data architecture and governance frameworksEnsure compliance with data privacy regulations and AI governance standardsOversee cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), ensuring scalability and cost efficiencyImplement robust cybersecurity and model risk management practices Stakeholder & Client EngagementAct as a senior technology partner to business and AI leadersSupport client engagements where deep technology expertise is requiredTranslate business and AI use cases into scalable platform solutions Governance & OperationsEstablish governance frameworks for platform and AI investmentsManage technology budgets, vendors, and partnerships (including AI/tech ecosystems)Track KPIs across platform performance, AI adoption, and delivery excellence Qualifications & ExperienceTotal 12+ yrs of experience with proven experience as a CTO, Head of Engineering, or senior technology leader for a min of 3-5 yrs in AI/data-driven environmentsStrong experience building and scaling AI/ML platforms and data ecosystemsDeep understanding of:Cloud-native architecturesData platforms (lakehouse, streaming, etc.)MLOps / LLMOps frameworksExperience delivering both internal platforms and client-facing digital/AI productsStrong leadership experience managing cross-functional technical teams Preferred ExperienceExperience in consulting, digital services, or AI-driven organizationsExposure to GenAI and large language model ecosystemsExperience scaling technology teams in India or global delivery models Key CompetenciesStrategic vision in AI and technologyStrong execution and platform mindsetAbility to bridge data science and engineering worldsStakeholder influence at executive levelInnovation with pragmatic delivery Why Join UsOpportunity to shape and scale AI-driven platforms at a group levelHigh-impact role at the intersection of technology, data, and businessExposure to cutting-edge AI use cases and global clients
