Role OverviewAs Head – Quality, you will be responsible for establishing and driving a robust Quality Management System (QMS) across Pune Gas.The role spans:Manufactured products (LPG systems, vaporizers, etc)Gas Projects (industrial & commercial installations)You will ensure quality across the entire lifecycle: Incoming → In-Process → Final → Project Execution → Customer FeedbackLocationPune (Head Office) + involvement at upcoming plant in Pargaon KhandalaKey Responsibilities1. Build the Quality FunctionSet up the Quality department from scratchDefine Quality policies, SOPs, and documentation systemsImplement QMS aligned with ISO 9001 and industry best practices2. Incoming Quality (IQC)Establish inspection processes for raw materials and bought-out componentsDefine vendor quality standards and acceptance criteriaWork with Procurement on vendor qualification and evaluation3. In-Process Quality (IPQC)Implement stage-wise inspection systems for WIPDefine control plans and quality checkpointsDrive root cause analysis and corrective actions4. Final Quality (FQC)Ensure robust final inspection before dispatchMaintain product traceability and documentationImplement testing and validation protocols5. Project QualityDefine quality standards for Gas Projects executionOversee installation, testing, and commissioning qualityEnsure proper handover documentation (MTCs, inspection reports, compliance records)Conduct site audits and ensure adherence to specifications6. Quality at New Plant (Pargaon Khandala)Lead end-to-end quality setup at the new manufacturing facilityEstablish inspection systems, testing protocols, and calibration processes7. Compliance & CertificationsDrive ISO and relevant regulatory certificationsEnsure compliance with IS standards, PESO norms, and safety requirementsInterface with auditors and certification bodies8. Continuous ImprovementTrack and improve key quality metrics (rejections, complaints, failures)Drive continuous improvement initiatives across products and projects9. Customer QualityHandle customer complaints and field quality issuesLead CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions)Build feedback loops into product and process improvement10.
