They strive to improve the lives of those affected by cancer by offering comprehensive assistance, including medical care, emotional support, and practical resources.Summary:A Mumbai-based non-profit organization providing holistic care, financial aid, and accommodation to cancer patients is seeking a senior professional to oversee the entire trust's Homes vertical and lead the expansion into new locations. The Senior Project Head will be responsible for the smooth functioning, quality standards, and overall direction of all the Homes. Centre Managers of each Home will report to this role. The position also involves building systems and protocols, setting up new centres, and developing teams for future expansion.These Homes often become the only support system families have when they come to Mumbai for life-saving treatment. The person leading this vertical will directly influence the dignity, comfort, and safety that these families experience.ResponsibilitiesOverall Leadership & OversightLead operations and strategy for all existing and upcoming Homes.Ensure all centres run smoothly and consistently.Mentor and supervise Centre Managers; conduct regular reviews and address escalations.Building & Managing TeamsPlan manpower for each centre and lead recruitment of Centre Managers, wardens, caretakers, and housekeeping staff.Create training modules to orient new teams on the trust's values and processes.Build a strong second line of leadership to support long-term scaling.Setting Up New HomesIdentify suitable properties and localities for expansion.Conduct site visits, evaluate feasibility, and prepare recommendations.Oversee design, layout, repairs, furnishing, and vendor onboarding for new centres.Ensure each new Home opens with complete readiness i.e., systems, staff, safety, and supplies.Creating Systems & Standard ProtocolsDevelop clear SOPs covering admissions, hygiene, safety, maintenance, visitor rules, inventory, record-keeping, and emergency procedures.Create checklists and templates that staff can follow without confusion.Ensure protocols are implemented uniformly across all Homes and updated based on ground realities.Reporting & ComplianceEnsure accurate MIS, registers, occupancy sheets, and monthly reports.Oversee budget tracking, procurement processes, and expense reviews.Assist with audits, compliance checks, and documentation as required.Operations, Maintenance & SafetyOversee maintenance, AMC schedules, cleanliness standards, and vendor relationships.Drive safety protocols i.e., fire systems, documentation, emergency readiness, security.Conduct regular inspections to ensure every centre maintains the dignity and care the trust stands for.Beneficiary Experience & WelfareEnsure transparent and sensitive admissions across centres.Maintain a calm, supportive environment for families during treatment journeys.Step in for sensitive cases or escalated concerns when required.Maintain close coordination with hospital social workers and partner organisations.Donor, CSR & Hospital PartnershipsSupport donor visits, documentation, and impact updates.Work with the CEO on expansion proposals, sponsored rooms, and improvements.Maintain healthy relationships with social workers, hospitals, and community partners.Skills Strong team leadership and people-management skills.Excellent organisational ability with comfort handling operations, vendors, and sensitive situations.Good communication skills (English, Hindi; Marathi preferred).Empathy, patience, integrity, and a hands-on working style.Prior Experience 8–15 years of experience in programme leadership, facility management, NGO operations, healthcare support, or community work.QualificationsGraduate in any discipline (Mandatory)
