The company delivers advanced smart water and gas metering solutions across India and international markets, leveraging NB-IoT and LoRa technologies. Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced NB-IoT Specialist / Solution Lead to drive and lead end-to-end NB-IoT projects within smart metering and IoT environments. This role requires a strong combination of: Deep technical expertise in NB-IoT / Cellular IoTCustomer-facing and solution-selling capabilitiesExperience working with Mobile Network Operators (MNOs)Strong ownership of project execution and delivery The candidate will act as the central interface between customers, operators, and internal teams, ensuring successful deployment, scalability, and commercial success of NB-IoT solutions. Key Responsibilities 1. Project & Technical LeadershipLead and manage end-to-end NB-IoT projects (design → deployment → operations).Define and implement network architecture (device, connectivity, backend integration).Ensure integration with IoT platforms (e.g., DataHub), cloud systems, and utility infrastructure.Manage project timelines, risks, budgets, and delivery quality.Lead internal and external technical teams across regions. 2. NB-IoT & Cellular IoT Expertise (Core Requirement) The candidate must have strong hands-on and conceptual knowledge of:NB-IoT fundamentals (3GPP Release 13/14/15)LTE-based IoT architecture (EPC, eNodeB integration)Global frequency bands and deploymentsCommunication protocols:UDP vs TCP (low power vs reliability trade-offs)MQTT, CoAPPower optimization:PSM (Power Saving Mode)eDRX (Extended Discontinuous Reception)Device provisioning, authentication, and securityPayload optimization and data transmission behaviorNetwork coverage planning and deep indoor penetrationTroubleshooting NB-IoT connectivity in live deployments 3. eSIM, GSM & Telecom Standardization (Mandatory) Strong knowledge of eSIM / iSIM technologies, including:Remote SIM Provisioning (RSP)Profile lifecycle management (download, enable, disable, delete)OTA (Over-the-Air) updatesUnderstanding of GSM / LTE / NB-IoT ecosystem, including:Core network (EPC, HLR/HSS concepts)SIM authentication and security mechanismsStrong understanding of GSMA and telecom standards, including:SGP.02 (M2M eSIM architecture)SGP.22 (Consumer eSIM architecture)SGP.32 (IoT eSIM – next generation standard)Awareness of additional SGP specifications (e.g., SGP.16 / SGP.25)Experience working with:Mobile Network Operators (MNOs)SIM provisioning, onboarding, and SLA alignment 4. Customer & Commercial Interface Act as primary technical interface to customers.Conduct workshops to gather and define requirements.Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations (technical and executive level).Support solution selling and positioning of NB-IoT vs alternative technologies (e.g., LoRa).Build long-term relationships with utilities, government entities, and enterprise clients. 5. Tender & Proposal Management Review and analyze RFP / RFQ / tender documents.Prepare:Technical specificationsSystem architectureBOQ (Bill of Quantities)Compliance documentationSupport commercial teams in bid strategy and competitive positioning. 6.
