This role is ideal for candidates with foundational experience or strong interest in enterprise storage and backup technologies, with NetApp storage and Cohesity Backup as the primary focus.The role offers hands-on exposure to a multi‑vendor environment, strong mentorship, and close collaboration with VMware, OS, Network, and Engineering teams in an open, inclusive, and learning‑focused culture.Key ResponsibilitiesStorage & Backup OperationsAdminister and support NetApp ONTAP storage systems, including volume provisioning, snapshots, replication, capacity monitoring, and health checks.Perform day-to-day storage operations such as provisioning, decommissioning, and troubleshooting.Support backup and recovery operations, primarily using Cohesity, including monitoring backup jobs and performing restore requests.Assist with administration and monitoring of Dell EMC Unity, HPE MSA, and Dell EqualLogic storage platforms.Support SAN infrastructure, including zoning and troubleshooting on Brocade SAN switches, under guidance.Participate in planned maintenance activities, upgrades, and patching with senior engineers.Maintain accurate technical documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.ITIL-Based Service ManagementHandle Incidents, Service Requests, and Alerts related to storage and backup infrastructure in accordance with ITIL processes.Perform initial triage, troubleshooting, and timely escalation when required.Ensure adherence to defined SLAs, OLAs, and operational KPIs.Support Change Management activities including change implementation, validation, and documentation.Contribute to Problem Management by identifying recurring issues and supporting RCA efforts.Maintain and update CMDB records for storage, backup, and SAN components.Contribute to knowledge management through documentation and process improvements.Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours patching activities.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.1–3 years of experience in Storage and/or Backup administration within an enterprise or managed services environment.Strong foundational understanding of storage concepts (block/file storage, RAID, SAN).Hands-on experience or strong exposure to NetApp storage (ONTAP preferred).Basic knowledge or experience with backup technologies, preferably Cohesity.Familiarity with Dell Unity, HPE MSA, and Brocade SAN switches is desirable.Awareness of VMware virtualization environments is a plus.Relevant certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.Skills & CompetenciesTechnical SkillsNetApp ONTAP fundamentalsBackup, Restore and Management of Cohesity Backup Infrastructure.Understanding SQL and Oracle Database Backup concepts.Experience with Dell Unity and HPE MSASAN fundamentals and zoning concepts (Brocade)Basic Windows and Linux OS knowledgeMonitoring, alert handling, and troubleshooting skillsUnderstanding of Disaster recovery tools & management (VMware SRM)Soft SkillsClear and effective communication skillsStrong teamwork and collaboration abilitiesLogical problem-solving and analytical thinkingProcess-driven mindset aligned with ITIL practicesOwnership, accountability, and reliabilityWillingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environmentCustomer- and service-oriented approachAdditional Requirements: Ready to work from office in 24X7 Shifts & on call schedule.Must have strong reporting and analytical skills.If you feel this opportunity could be the next step in your career, we encourage you to apply.
