Job Description: Senior Network EngineerLocation: Remote (India)Shift Timing: Night Shift – 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM IST (5 days/week) Flexibility for occasional overtime during critical cutoversDuration: 2 year contract + extendable.Joining: Immediate joiners preferredRole Overview:We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to support a global telecom carrier in executing large-scale network migration activities. The role involves working on Cisco to Juniper migration projects, including configuration conversion, cutover execution, and real-time troubleshooting during maintenance windows.Key Responsibilities:- Perform network cutover activities during scheduled maintenance windows- Convert and validate configurations from Cisco to Juniper platforms- Implement and verify network changes with minimal service disruption- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during and after cutovers- Collaborate with global teams via Teams/phone for coordinated execution- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers- Ensure proper documentation of configurations, changes, and outcomes- Follow escalation protocols when requiredTechnical Requirements:Mandatory:- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper Routing & Switching- Experience in network migration and config conversion (Cisco to Juniper)- Strong troubleshooting skills in live environments- Knowledge of L2/L3 networking, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STPPreferred:- Juniper certifications (JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIP)- Cisco certifications (CCNP or equivalent)Soft Skills:- Strong English communication skills- Ability to lead technical discussions- Comfortable in a remote, global environment- High ownership and accountability- Ability to work under pressure during cutoversIdeal Candidate Profile:- Senior network engineer with end-to-end cutover experience- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision- Experience in telecom or large enterprise environments preferred- Prior night shift experience is a plusAdditional Notes:- Role involves critical maintenance windows- Candidate must have stable internet and remote setup
