NSFI is realizing its mission towards enabling sustainable livelihoods through trainings of unskilled/ semi-skilled workers, rural youth, farmers, and women entrepreneurs and action research in the domains of agriculture supply & value chains, markets, and skills, and through across the nation with the objective of providing them access to growth sectors in formal labour markets. NSFI (net)works with national and international agencies in Public Sector, and Civil Society Domains. About the ProjectThe project aims to create inclusive and sustainable livelihood opportunities for women and Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) in Mumbai’s slum communities by enabling them to establish micro-enterprises in handmade soaps and candles. Through a structured approach involving community mobilization, skill training, enterprise incubation, and market linkages, the initiative will support 90 participants, of which at least 60 will transition into active entrepreneurs. The project emphasizes low-investment, home-based production models that are accessible and scalable, while also building a collective brand to enhance market access and income potential. By integrating entrepreneurship development with market-driven production, the initiative seeks to enable beneficiaries to achieve stable incomes, while also promoting social inclusion, reducing economic dependency, and creating a replicable urban livelihood model.Field Project Coordinator – MumbaiPosition SummaryThe Field Project Coordinator will be responsible for overall field level planning, implementation, and monitoring of the project in selected Mumbai slum clusters, ensuring effective delivery of community mobilization, skill training, enterprise incubation, and market linkage activities. The role involves leading the field team, coordinating with stakeholders, and providing strategic and operational guidance to ensure that women and Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) successfully transition into sustainable micro enterprises. The coordinator will also oversee reporting, quality assurance, and performance tracking, ensuring that project outcomes, particularly enterprise creation, income generation, and social inclusion, are achieved in line with timelines and donor expectations.Key Responsibilities·       Lead planning and execution of all field-level project activities across selected slum clusters, ensuring alignment with timelines and deliverables. ·       Supervise and guide Field Executives, ensuring effective implementation, task allocation, and performance monitoring. ·       Oversee community mobilization, beneficiary identification, assessment, and selection in coordination with the field team. ·       Coordinate and ensure quality delivery of technical training (soap and candle making) and entrepreneurship development programmes. ·       Facilitate enterprise incubation by supporting beneficiaries in business planning, production processes, costing, pricing, and initial market entry. ·       Develop and strengthen market linkages through local markets, exhibitions, retail channels, and other sales platforms. ·       Support development and operationalization of a common brand for handmade products, ensuring consistency in quality and packaging. ·       Ensure adherence to product quality standards, hygiene practices, and basic compliance requirements. ·       Maintain and oversee project MIS, including beneficiary data, training records, production, and sales tracking. ·       Prepare and submit regular progress reports (weekly/monthly) to the Head Office, highlighting achievements, challenges, and corrective actions. ·       Coordinate with key stakeholders including community leaders, NGOs, trainers, and market partners to ensure smooth project implementation. ·       Monitor project outcomes such as enterprise formation, income generation, and beneficiary engagement, and take corrective actions where required. ·       Ensure effective utilization of project resources and adherence to organizational and donor guidelines. ·       Represent the project in local meetings, exposure visits, and stakeholder engagements. ·       Undertake any additional responsibilities as assigned by the reporting manager.Qualifications and Experience:• Graduate/Postgraduate in Social Work, Rural Development, or related field.• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in livelihood promotion, SHG strengthening, or handicraft projects.• Strong community mobilization, leadership, and coordination skills.• Proficient in MS Office and comfortable with MIS reporting.• Fluency in Marathi and Hindi is required; working knowledge of English, including documentation, is essential.Expected personality traits: 1.     Highly proactive and having initiative in improving the working environments 2.   High energy levels and temperament to take up activities that have time commitments 3.   Open to learn new technological/digital tools that can improve the reporting systems of an       organisationHow to Apply: Apply in 7 days from the date of publication of this ad, in word-formatted single document consisting of cover letter, resume (with salary history if already on job, applicable minimum notice period, permanent & present location, ready to relocate to the place of posting) , marking a copy to and by marking the subject line as “Application for: Field Project Coordinator”.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.----
