Technical & Domain ExpertiseTeach material fundamentals including metals, polymers, ceramics, composites, and smart materialsGuide students on material testing, durability, and performance evaluationIntroduce manufacturing processes such as CNC, molding, casting, 3D printing, and laser cuttingPromote awareness of sustainable, recycled, and bio-based materialsEnable interpretation of material datasheets, specifications, and standards2. Design & Application SkillsDrive material-led design thinking and innovationConnect materials with form, function, ergonomics, and user experienceFacilitate prototyping, model-making, and workshop-based learningGuide applications across product, furniture, fashion, and lifestyle designTeach surface finishes, textures, coatings, and treatments3. Digital & Tools ProficiencyTrain students in CAD and 3D tools (Rhino, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Blender)Utilize material libraries such as Material ConneXion and MateriaIntroduce simulation and visualization tools for material behaviorSupport rendering and visualization techniques4.
