Mumbai | University of Bristol – Mumbai CampusReports to: Director – Campus Operations & RegistrarRole OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic professional to lead and strengthen a holistic student welfare ecosystem that promotes well-being, inclusion, engagement, and student success. The role will align global standards with Indian regulatory frameworks to deliver a safe, inclusive, and enriching campus experience.Key Responsibilities Strategy & GovernanceDesign and implement a comprehensive Student Welfare FrameworkEnsure policies on well-being, safeguarding, anti-ragging, and inclusivityDrive compliance with UGC and global best practices Student Support ServicesOversee counselling, health services, disability support, and international student assistanceBuild partnerships with counsellors, healthcare providers, and external agencies Student Engagement & Campus LifeLead clubs, societies, student council, and co-curricular initiativesFoster a vibrant, inclusive campus culture Safeguarding & Crisis ManagementEstablish protocols for mental health, safety, and misconduct casesAct as escalation point for sensitive student issues Grievance & DisciplineEnsure fair, transparent, and timely resolution of grievances and disciplinary matters Stakeholder CollaborationPartner with academic, registry, and UK campus teamsAct as a bridge between students and leadership Data & Continuous ImprovementMonitor student satisfaction, engagement, and well-being metricsDrive insights-led improvements and reporting Team Leadership & OperationsBuild and lead student welfare teamsManage SOPs, SLAs, budgets, and vendor partnershipsKey Success MetricsStudent satisfaction & engagement scoresGrievance resolution turnaround timeParticipation in student activitiesUtilisation of well-being servicesQualifications & ExperienceMaster’s in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or related field (PhD preferred)5–8 years in student affairs / campus life / student servicesExposure to international education environments preferredStrong understanding of UGC regulations and safeguarding frameworksCore CompetenciesStudent-centric approach with high empathyStrong leadership and stakeholder managementCrisis handling and conflict resolutionPolicy and governance expertiseCross-cultural sensitivity with a global outlookPreferredExperience in setting up student welfare for new campusesExposure to UK higher education systemsAbility to build scalable, tech-enabled support systems
