Financial Modelling Expert, A leading US based AI and Software company, RemoteJob Summary:This is a highly technical, hands-on financial modeling role. The candidate will be responsible for building, reviewing, and improving complex, end-to-end financial models used by demanding professional audiences (IB, PE, corporate finance, etc.). The candidate will work on directly with leadership, owning problems from first principles all the way to a fully working model. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys deep, detailed modeling work, can operate with a lot of autonomy, and wants to have a real impact on a product used globally. About the company:A Y combinator backed US based AI software company that helps businesses automate complex professional tasks by training specialized AI agents for finance, legal, coding, and other business functions.Location: RemoteDesignation: Financial Modelling ExpertRoles & ResponsibilityDevelop, maintain, and optimize full financial models (integrated IS/BS/CF) across areas such as corporate finance, private equity/LBO, investment banking, valuation, risk, credit, and quantitative finance modeling. Build and validate advanced modeling components, including revenue builds, detailed growth drivers, scenario and sensitivity analysis, and capital structure and cost of capital. Review, stress-test, and improve complex financial models and exercises created by internal teams and other experts. Design and solve real-world financial problem sets for the platform, ensuring technical depth, accuracy, internal consistency, and clear pedagogical value for users. Collaborate with other finance experts and developers to ensure model integrity, documentation, and scalability. Provide ongoing operational support on financial content, including QA, debugging, and continuous refinement of models. Must-Haves Proven track record building complete, integrated financial models from scratch, including full three-statement models, WACC and valuation work (DCF, comparable analysis), and complex drivers and scenario analysis. Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas and dynamic modeling, multi-tab, linked models. Strong discipline around structure, checks, and documentation. Deep understanding of corporate finance, valuation, accounting principles, and how they flow through IS/BS/CF. High attention to detail and a very high-quality bar for your own work. Ability to work independently, own projects end-to-end, and manage your time effectively in a remote, fast-paced environment. Strong English communication skills (written and verbal). Nice to Have Experience designing or reviewing technical case studies or modeling tests (for hiring, training, or education). Certifications such as CFA, CPA, or similar. Experience mentoring or leading other analysts or associates. Familiarity with programming, automation, or data tools that interact with financial models. Excluded Profiles Pure bookkeeping / small-business accounting profiles. Generic finance profiles with little specialization Candidates who have only worked with pre-built templates and have not owned full model construction. Education: Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience in roles such as: investment banking, private equity/venture capital, risk, debt capital markets, corporate finance, highly technical FP&A/strategic finance, transaction services/valuation/financial advisory, asset based securities, asset based lending, quantitative finance, and more.
