The role involves teaching, mentoring students, and contributing to academic as well as industry-led projects focused on spatial storytelling, experiential design, and temporary structures.For more details about UPES & School of Design, visit our website: Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver lectures to undergraduate & postgraduate and studio sessions in Exhibition Design.Mentor students on live projects, portfolios, and industry readinessDevelop curriculum aligned with current industry trends and technologiesGuide students in conceptualization, design development, and execution of exhibition spacesIntegrate digital tools such as CAD, 3D visualization, and immersive technologies (AR/VR if applicable)Collaborate with industry partners for workshops, internships, and live briefsParticipate in academic planning, reviews, juries, and institutional initiativesContribute to research, publications, and design innovationResearch & Scholarly ActivitiesConduct research in relevant domains (animation, VFX, simulation, procedural graphics, etc.).Publish in peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, or design-research outlets.Apply for and manage research grants, collaborate on funded projects.Industry EngagementBuild and maintain relationships with animation studios, VFX houses, game companies, and related creative industries.Facilitate guest lectures, masterclasses, industry workshops, and student exposure to real-world production pipelines.Promote student internships, live projects, and industry partnerships.Administration & ServiceParticipate in departmental and university-level committees (academic council, curriculum committee, quality assurance, etc.).Contribute to admission processes, portfolio reviews, and student recruitment for design programs.Assist in setting up and maintaining animation/VFX labs and infrastructure (software licenses, hardware, studio resources).Required QualificationsBachelor’s & Master’s in Architecture / Exhibition Design / Spatial Design / Interior DesignRelevant teaching or industry experience (minimum 10+ years as per level – AP/Associate/Professor)Strong portfolio showcasing exhibition, installation, or experiential design workProficiency in design tools such as MAYA, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Suite, etc.Candidates must meet eligibility requirements as per UGC guidelines.
