The role involves managing a multi-layered team structure, driving regional strategy, and ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage Area Managers / Team Leaders, and indirectly oversee large field sales teamsDrive regional performance to achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIsDevelop and implement sales strategies aligned with business goalsConduct regular performance reviews, training sessions, and skip-level meetingsEnsure strong execution of sales plans across multiple territoriesMonitor and optimize field sales productivity and efficiencyBuild and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholdersAnalyze performance metrics, identify gaps, and implement corrective actionsEnsure compliance with company policies, IRDAI regulations, and audit standardsEligibility CriteriaEducationGraduate in any discipline (MBA preferred)ExperienceMinimum 7–10 years of experience in insurance salesAt least 3–5 years of experience managing Area Managers / Team LeadersProven experience handling multi-layered / zonal sales structuresStrong understanding of the Pune and Maharashtra insurance marketMandatory RequirementsProficiency in Marathi (spoken and written)Strong experience in General Insurance SalesExperience in managing large, geographically spread field teamsDesired SkillsStrong leadership and team-building capabilitiesExcellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skillsHighly target-driven with a strategic mindsetAbility to manage high-volume, multi-location operationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsIdeal Candidate ProfileProven track record of managing large sales teams across regions/zonesExperience in driving business growth in competitive marketsComfortable handling pressure, targets, and team scalability
