Times Network is Hiring – Assistant Manager Financial Planning & Analysis Position : Assistant Manager – FP&AExperience: 2–3 yearsQualification: Chartered Accountant (Mandatory)Industry: Media (Television & Digital)Role Overview : This role sits at the intersection of finance and business, supporting planning and performance management across Television and Digital verticals. The individual will work closely with business stakeholders to track revenue, control costs (especially content spends), and provide actionable insights in a dynamic, data-driven environment.Key Responsibilities• Support annual operating plan (AOP), budgeting, and rolling forecasts across TV and Digital businesses• Prepare and analyze monthly MIS, variance analysis, and business performance dashboards• Track advertising revenue, subscription revenue, and digital monetization metrics (impressions, yields, fill rates, etc.)• Monitor content costs, production budgets, and ROI on programming/content investments• Partner with sales, content, and digital teams to provide commercial and financial insights• Build and maintain financial models for revenue forecasting, scenario planning, and business cases• Support leadership with sharp, insight-driven presentations and storytelling• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement• Drive improvements in reporting, automation, and data visualizationSkills & Competencies• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modelling, large data handling, scenario analysis)• Strong working knowledge of PowerPoint (clear, structured, executive-ready decks)• Solid understanding of P&L, revenue drivers, and cost structures• Strong analytical thinking with business orientation• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-variability environmentPreferred Skills (Good to Have)• Exposure to Power BI / Tableau for dashboards and visualization• Understanding of media metrics (TRPs, digital traffic, CPM, program economics, etc.)•Experience working with ERP / financial systems• Exposure to data-driven decision-making environmentsEligibility• Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory• 2–3 years of relevant experience in FP&A / Business Finance / Financial Analysis• Prior exposure to media, digital, or advertising-driven businesses is an advantageWhat We’re Looking For• Someone who can go beyond reporting and interpret the story behind numbers• Comfortable engaging with both creative (content) and commercial (sales) teams• High ownership, attention to detail, and ability to manage tight timelines• Curious, proactive, and willing to challenge assumptions with data
