Job Description

Stockwell Solar Services Pvt Ltd is a clean energy platform with 400 MW of solar capacity executed and an active pipeline of 2,000 MWh BESS and 200 MW solar. Role Objective The Site Engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of rooftop solar projects, specifically focusing on Government (C&I/Institutional) clients. This includes site surveys, installation management, and navigating the complex administrative landscape of Net-Metering and DISCOM/Govt. body approvals. Key Responsibilities 1. Project Execution & Site Management Conduct technical site surveys, shadow, and structural integrity assessments of rooftops. Supervise the on-site installation of PV modules, inverters, and BOS (Balance of System). Ensure all electrical wiring (AC/DC) and earthing/lightning protection are installed as per approved SLDs (Single Line Diagrams). Manage labor teams and sub-contractors to ensure the project meets deadlines and safety standards (PPE, height safety). 2. Net-Metering & Liaisoning (Crucial) Prepare and submit applications for Net-Metering to the respective DISCOM (State Power Utilities). Coordinate with DISCOM engineers for technical feasibility reports and site inspections. Handle the documentation and physical procurement/testing of bi-directional meters. Liaise with Government bodies (e.g., MNRE, SNA, or CEIG) for project registration and safety approvals. 3. Government Client Management Act as the primary point of contact for Government site officials. Ensure compliance with specific tender requirements and government quality standards. Maintain the Joint Inspection Report (JIR) and obtain sign-offs from government representatives. 4. Commissioning & Reporting Execute system testing and commissioning in the presence of client representatives. Provide regular Daily/Weekly Progress Reports (DPRs/WPRs) to the Project Manager. Required Qualifications & Skills Education: B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Rooftop Solar EPC (at least 1 year handling Government projects or Liaison). Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in reading SLDs and layout drawings. Deep understanding of Net-Metering regulations . Familiarity with inverter brands (e.g., Sungrow, Growatt, Polycab) and monitoring systems. Soft Skills: Strong negotiation skills for dealing with DISCOM officials; excellent report writing and documentation habits. Physical Requirements Ability to manage work at heights (rooftops/Shade). Willingness to travel frequently between government offices and various site locations.
