The role holder will oversee the execution of training initiatives for the crew and cadets while collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure a smooth roll-out and implementation of training initiatives for crew and cadets.Self-driven with the ability to work independently, multi-task and in possession of good communication as well as interpersonal skills, to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Possesses a good working knowledge of crew technical training and experience in maritime operations. Job Accountabilities/Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical consultation for content development and technical related training for crew competency development. Oversee training events including liaison with manning agents and training centers, course registration, participant and trainer/assessor confirmation, virtual platform access and/or training venue.Follow through the end-to-end process of the Cadet Progression Programme and Top 2 Officers’ Promotion ProgrammeOversee the preparation of reports for crew training, system utilization and training spent.Provide consultation on Training Matrixes / Global Training Catalogues to be in line with audit / competency requirements.Oversee Computer Based Training System and various training platforms’ effective usage, integration and report on the usage of the systems by crew. Oversee training-related invoices are processed promptly.Handle the day-to-day training and promotion related queries or requests and ensure timely and effective resolution of queries or issues.Report/audit existing programs, and drive compliance across the fleet.Develop and maintain a global network of manning agents to ensure a connected training environment for effective crew development.Ensure training centers worldwide deliver standardized, high-quality training that meets our requirements.Create reports on training programmes, progress updates and make recommendations for continuous training improvements.Involve/support in any other projects whenever required, as part of the job role or company’s business needs.Support the Senior Training Manager to ensure smooth administration, coordination and execution of training and development initiatives for the crew and cadets.Undertake additional tasks and projects as assigned by the Senior Training Manager.Qualifications & Experience:Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in maritime industry with maritime training center background. Have proven track record in training administration as well as project management, in a multi-cultural working environment. A self-starter and ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Must be resourceful and possess excellent communication and presentation skills. Able to manage tight deadlines and ensure good follow-up and follow through. PreferredExperienced in the launch, execution and maintenance of global large-scale training programmes will be an advantage. Experienced in conducting audits and assessments of training providers and institutions. Meticulous attention to detail with creative mindset.
